Bun di NFT: The Swiss fine art NFT series dropping on Swappable

The Swiss fine art gallery Stalla Madulain releases NFT drop schedule for its successful digital art series on Swappable

Good day, NFT, or ‘Bun di NFT’ was one of the very first NFT fine art exhibitions in Switzerland. Various participants such as CfC St. Moritz, Swappable, UNICEF, Samsung and Bill Tai contributed to the sequence of events at and around Stalla Madulain. More than a thousand people came to the exhibition to see and learn about the new form of digital art.

The Fireside talk with Bill Tai and his entourage from Acai Global was certainly one of the highlights of the three-month exhibition in the beautiful Swiss mountain village Madulain. Tai, who was an early angel investor in DapperLabs, the company behind CryptoKitties and NBA Top Shot, guided people through the potential of NFTs for artists and highlighted the importance of community building around art projects. He said that if there is a strong community behind a project, it’s most certainly worth investigating. Swiss fine artist Robertson Käppeli added to the conversation by sharing his experience within the new world of NFTs.

These six fine artists contributed to ‘Bun di NFT’: Wendy Yu, Zimoun, Philipp Schaerer, Conrad Jon Godly, Robertson Käppeli and Jani Leinonen. All of these artists except Leinonen will drop their very first NFTs in an upcoming auction on Swappable. You will find the exact drop schedule and the links to the artists’ art at the end of this article.

The fine art gallery Stalla Madulain is located in an old barn dating back to 1488, in the incredible Swiss Engadine Valley, which is one of the most relevant areas when it comes to fine art, galleries and art collectors. The very new met the old. ‘Bun di NFT’ is all about building bridges between the various art worlds. An old barn, without a proper heating system, was the epicenter of a remarkable NFT endeavor. The artworks were displayed on ‘The Frame’ screens provided by Samsung Switzerland.

In a side event at the Crypto Finance Conference in St. Moritz the artists Philipp Schaerer, Robertson Käppeli and Jani Leinonen donated an NFT for a UNICEF NFT live auction for their Giga Project which intends to connect every school on this planet to the internet. Bertold Mueller, head of Christie’s Europe, Russia, Asia and Middle East was the auctioneer of the night and helped make the auction a huge success. Käppelis art piece was sold for 4.8 ETH, Leinonens for 8.2 and 10.2 ETH and Schaerers for 7.7 ETH. The auction generated over 40 ETH or approximately 130’000 CHF for UNICEF.

The NFT live auction at the beautiful Segantini Museum was also a topic at the CfC in St. Moritz where Schaerer joined the panel with the title “NFTs: Connecting communities, connecting the world”. Artist Nadieh Bremer and investor Rudolf Budja also contributed to the panel led by Bill Tai.
