Renowned Swiss fine artist Zimoun drops first NFTs on Swappable

Swappable has exciting news for the international NFT community! Zimoun, a leading contemporary artist in sound art, sound sculpture, and site-specific installations, is dropping two digital art pieces on Swappable through the renowned Swiss fine art gallery Stalla Madulain.

You can now place your bid on Zimoun’s 1/1 NFT ‘Sounds Sculptures’ here, with the auction to run until Wednesday 4th May at 9am UTC. Or you can now purchase one of Zimoun’s ‘Sound Sculptures – 12 series’ here.

Zimoun’s NFTs were present at the successful winter exhibition at Stalla Madulain under the exhibition title “Bun Di NFT,” which means good day NFT in Romansh, the language spoken in the Swiss mountain village Madulain, where the exhibition took place.

Zimoun is eager to explore and learn the blockchain space. He describes his first NFT endeavor as follows:

“The material possession of an artwork dissolves completely in favor of a code. As an artist exploring reductive principles and systems, I find this aspect of the NFT world particularly interesting. A decidedly cryptic affair in the true sense of the word.”

Zimoun and his journey to NFTs

Zimoun became world-famous for his work that plays with minimalist mechanical systems, which, despite their simplicity, develop rich complexities in sound and motion. Zimoun’s artworks are presented in renowned contemporary art museums worldwide and are part of numerous public and private art collections. You will find a list of his most significant exhibitions at the end of this article.

We are beyond excited to introduce Zimoun’s NFT to the blockchain community and fine art collectors worldwide who have been waiting for this drop to happen for quite some time.

Bun di NFT is a collaboration with Stalla Madulain, Swappable, and Matthias Hunkeler.

Zimouns NFT drop will take place on 28. April 2022. Stay tuned.
