Giga, a partnership between UNICEF and the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) working to connect every school to the internet, and every young person to information, opportunity, and choice. UNICEF has been working for children at home and abroad for 52 years by promoting international programs in the areas of survival and development, education, child protection, and emergency aid.
Bid for top tier NFTs from leading artists on Swappable, and help UNICEF close the digital divide
To begin this collaboration, UNICEF will host an NFT auction powered by Swappable, for the upcoming CfC St. Moritz in January 2022.
Jani Leinonen, the renowned Finnish artist who minted his first NFT collection with Swappable will create a unique piece of art exclusively for the auction, alongside names such as Nadie Brehmer, Philipp Schaerer, and Robertson Kaeppeli. The artists will work in collaboration with the gallery
La Stalla in St Moritz.
The auction will be divided into two parts: a pre-auction, where people can place bids online, and a live auction on-site at the Segantini Museum on January 13th, 2022, for attendees of CfC St. Moritz. The auction will be led by Bertold Müller, Delegate of UNICEF Switzerland & Liechtenstein, and Christie’s Managing Director for Continental Europe, Middle East & Africa.
